The Science Behind Mental Illness

What you will learn: This workshop will go over the basics of neuroscience and brain anatomy, as well as how neurology is used to understand the development of certain mental illnesses. What you can look forward to: An interactive presentation on the fundamentals of neuroscience and mental health, an interactive game at the end that will go over key points, & more! About the workshop leader: "I’m a high school sophomore from Canada and an avid mental health advocate. I love all things science and plan to pursue a career related to biology or psychology. I volunteer with multiple youth organizations doing advocacy work for social justice issues. I’m an avid learner and love doing research on various STEM topics like health science.
