According to the Mayo Clinic, Antisocial Personality Disorder is a mental disorder in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others. No guilt or remorse is shown when they antagonize, manipulate, or treat others harshly. Causes and risk factors

The exact cause of antisocial personality disorder is not known, but life situations or changes in the way the brain functions during childhood may cause its development. Moreover, childhood experiences such as being subjected to abuse or neglect or unstable and violent family life may lead to antisocial personality disorder as well.




 

Because people with antisocial personality disorder are unlikely to seek help on their own, gently suggesting a person seek help from a mental health professional when you suspect him or her may have the disorder is a good choice. Please don’t forget to offer help as well.
